Brief Intro

In Jurong Bird Park,there are tons of facilities you will visit during your journey if you choose to cover the entire trail.Besides exhibits that you will encounter during your walk,there are show times,upcoming events and also camps that are available for you!The examples will be shown below!Also you can do your dining and shopping along the way so no need to rush when trailing in the park and enjoy the scenery as much as you can!


Exhibits


You will be surprised at the amount of exhibits being installed for viewing pleasure to the people.There will be 3 exhibits that i will be talking are the few examples in showing how a glimpse of Jurong Bird Park facilities looks like.

Breeding & Research Centre


From nursing the eggs to nurturing the birds,the Breeding & Research Centre(BRC) has been doing for 24 years.And for the first time,it is open for public viewing therefore they can see behind the scenes of in the BRC and hope to cultivate and appreciate the avian wildlife and generate deeper understanding in it.The first stage is inside the Incubation Room where eggs are placed in special incubators to keep the temperature and humidity of each egg.At max capacity,it can hold up to 180 eggs.Upon hatching,the eggs will be delivered to the Nursery to be fed and looked after.After being fully grown up,they are placed in the Weaning Room to get familiar with the environment by placing them in cages until they are matured enough to be able to join with the rest of the family from each of the respective exhibits.In the Open Kitchen,the chicks are kept on a strict diet to maintain at their optimum health.

Macaw Island



Macaw are known for its flamboyant and wide variety of colours on their body and though thought it was easy to spot with the bright colours,it can easily camouflage with the foliage and colourful fruits and flowers in the rainforests.Unfortunately due to deforestation and illegal bird trade,macaw are labeled as an endangered species.There are 7 species of macaw such as the Scarlet and Green-winged.


Dinosaur Descendant



This is Double-Wattled Cassowary which was said to be the ancestors of the Great Dinosaur.Its neighbour is the Ostrich, is the world's largest,heaviest and fastest running bird with the biggest eyeballs.Learn more about these vintage birds at Ostrich Feeding every day at 1.40pm or better yet, sign up for a personal guided Bird's Eye Tour.

-Via PIE from city,take PIE towards Jurong/Tuas.Then take Exit 36 and turn left onto Jalan Bahar towards Jalan Boon Lay.Last turn right at Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim to reach Jurong Bird Park.
-Via CTE from city,take AYE towards Jurong and turn Exit 17 onto Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim to reach Jurong Bird Park.
