As stated
in our previous post, Singapore is a bustling city with many attractions to
enjoy! There are various ways to spend a day in Singapore. You can take a trip
to the theme park Universal Studios, or even swim at Wild Wild Wet and enjoy
the waters as they splash against you. Singapore gives out interesting sites to
behold! So, ever wondered what to do on average day in Singapore?
How about a
trip to the park? Or even the beach! As a teenager, I love the beach. The breeze
against my face, the waters cool and refreshing, and of course, the sand as
soft as they were the very first day I went there. Sentosa!
Sentosa is an
extremely popular island resort! In fact, Universal Studios is actually located
in Sentosa! If you’re a tourist, you might be even staying at the hotels
located there! So what does the word “Sentosa” actually really mean? It
actually translates from the Malay language as peace and tranquility. That’s
right! It’s a place destined to help people enjoy and just get out of life’s
worries and troubles.
So how about
that park? In Sentosa, explore the Butterfly Park & Insect Kingdom and find
out more about living creatures! Rare insects and bugs are sure to cause a
shiver up your spine with their interesting skeletal structure. Also, the
butterflies of different sizes and colours are sure to amaze you with their all
so intricate designs!
So now, it’s
been a long morning of looking at interesting creatures, so now let’s head to the
beach! Before going to the beach though, how about a bite? At Sentosa, there is
a variety of food to choose from! But the choices are so wide, it’s difficult
to pick something you really want! So how about food courts?
Food courts may
not sound appetizing, but trust me. It’s really good. Taste the succulent and savouring
food Singapore has to offer. After all, Singapore is mainly famous for its
food! With great dishes such as laksa, you will definitely light up those taste
buds with such delicious food! After which, let's head to the beach!
Sentosa
offers three beaches to go to! Palawan Beach, Siloso Beach, and Tanjong Beach. If you asked me which one I'd go to, I'd say the Siloso Beach as there are many attractions to enjoy there compared to the other two, such as Skyline Luge and the Song of the sea! However, if you're looking for somewhere more quiet for a relaxing day, the other two may be a better choice. All
these beaches are available at Sentosa and is definitely going to make your
time worthwhile there. Enjoy the sun and the wind as it relaxes and soothes
you. Friends are of course a must when you go to the beach, especially your
loved one! So make sure you’re not there alone, but if you like being alone,
why not!
After hours
at the beach with time still left to spare, why not head to the cable car or even visit the Merlion! Enjoy the sights and sceneries Singapore has to offer as you scale around
Sentosa in the cable car and be amazed with the setting sun as well as the beautiful landscape of Singapore. The Merlion is an interesting monument held in Singapore as well so do visit this half lion and fish!
Of course,
being out for too long may get those stomachs growling! So why not head to the
nearest diner for something to eat? Enjoy the other many dining opportunities
you can get with Sentosa, with many restaurants such as Cassia and Fiesta, you’d
be sure to enjoy yourselves divulge into their amazing food.
After a
long and tiring day out, it’s time to head home and take a good night’s rest.
